Deliverables
Conduct assessment of VMware Infrastructure (up to four ESX hosts) using the VMware Health Analyzer virtual appliance to collect inventory, configuration and usage data. Identify potential opportunities to optimize configuration and improve performance. Hold an interactive workshop to facilitate knowledge transfer on VMware Infrastructure best practices.

Technical Analysis
- Perform an analysis of the virtual infrastructure. This includes data collection using the VMware Health Analyzer appliance, and analysis of ESX hosts, VirtualCenter Server and their associated virtual storage, networking, and security.
- To assist with the analysis of the VI environment, consultants should use the VMware Health Analyzer appliance. The Health Analyzer appliance automates the collection of VMware Infrastructure inventory, configuration, and utilization data.
- Check with the customer to see what open support requests exist with VMware Technical Support.
- Deliver the analysis findings to the customer either as a VI Technical Analysis Report if Technical analysis module is delivered separately, or deliver the analysis findings included as part of the VI Health Check Report for a Health Check engagement. The Health Analyzer appliance generates the report, which can be reviewed and edited before delivering to the customer.
- Delivery and review of the report concludes the engagement.
Requirements
- Existing VMware Infrastructure including VMware ESX.
- Administrator (root) access to VMware installations.
- Conference room with projector and networked desktops/laptops running MS Windows® 2000 or higher .
Pricing & Scope
- Up to two (2) days on-site, and one (1) day off-site to create assessment report.
- Health Check includes up to four (4) ESX hosts.
- VMware Infrastructure Health Check will be delivered by a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) consultant from Richardson Eyres.
